Tom Heeren, DDS
After earning his doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee, Dr. Heeren served as a military dental officer for four years in the U.S. Navy. He completed a general practice residency at the National Naval Medical Center, ‘The President’s Hospital,’ before practicing at MCAS Yuma for more than 4,000 active-duty patients in support of Marine Corps and Army units en route to their missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. During his tour with the USMC, Dr. Heeren deployed for 8 months with the Combat Logistics Battalion in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he was the sole provider of dental services in the western Iraq area of operations.
After 6 years, 3 months, and 1 day of active-duty service, Dr. Heeren earned his Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Heeren is one of the few endodontists in the state who provide IV sedation, helping patients receive the endodontic care they need without additional stress.
He is married to Kelsey, and they are proud parents to their daughter Ryan, and 2 sons Lawson, and Oscar who ensure there’s never a dull moment in the Heeren household.
